Well Melbourne Cup day was a complete bludger for The Silk. It's always been a day I've struggled with and this year's edition was no exception. Not a single top pick saluted and to rub salt into the wounds a number of our 2nd and 3rd selections got up. These being Wistful $4.80 (3rd pick), Plucky Belle $17 (2nd pick), Moderate $2.15 (2nd pick), Fiorente $7.50 (3rd pick) and Salon Soldier $3.20 (2nd pick). In drawing a long bow, we weren't far off getting it right haha.
Anyway as is always the case, we're given another chance to redeem ourselves. Apparently this week's Silk is brought you by the number 3!
